Among those who had both a civil marriage and a religious ceremony, 31.8% had a civil marriage in succession (on the same day, within a few days or within a week), 16.5% had a civil marriage (religious ceremony first) within 5 years, and 12.9% within 4 years.[22] For those who were married before the age of 18, having a civil marriage after a religious ceremony is directly proportional to the need for the official permission/application of their parents to turn 17 or 18 upon reaching the age of majority or the need for civil registration of children born.
